Payments
Paypal.com processes our online payments. You can use Paypal even if you
don't have a Paypal account. We do not accept checks, money orders,
wire transfers, or brains as payment. Email detrivorecosmetics@gmail.com

Shipping
We ship all our products via USPS. In the USA shipping is $3.00 for any
order under $50. Any order over $50 ships free in the USA. Shipping for
the rest of the world is $5.00.
I will ship to the address on paypal.com. If you would like your order shipped to a different address please put that address in the notes to seller when you make your payment.
Detrivore Cosmetics ships worldwide. All orders are shipped using the
USPS. Most orders in the USA are shipped via first class which can take 3
-5 days to arrive. Tracking info will be sent to you after your order
is ready. Some larger orders are upgraded to priority shipping and will
arrive in 1-3 days.
International orders are also shipped via first class USPS. This
method can take a week to 1-2 months to arrive. Tracking info is not available
with first class shipping. International
packages are only shipped on Monday and Friday.
What is Detrivore Cosmetics?
Detrivore Cosmetics is a small independent makeup company, owned and run by Distorria Mordred. We specialize in handmade loose makeup. Our products are not repackaged mica blends or made by a private label company.
I make loose eyeshadow because I prefer it. The colors are more vivid and I like the variety of colors available. I like the buildable coverage and generally the feel of loose eyeshadow and foundation. It's a personal preference, not a moral or ethical choice. I also like supporting other indie bath and beauty sellers.
Are your products safe?
Yes, we only use cosmetic grade, FDA cosmetic approved ingredients. Our ingredients are listed on the collection page where the product is. Our products have not been evaluated by the FDA yet.
Do I need any special tools to use your makeup?
Nope, apply it how you would any other makeup. Brushes work the best in my opinion. Primer will help keep the makeup on and keep the color more bright/intense.
Returns
Due to the nature of our products we cannot accept returns. We encourage everyone interested in our products to buy samples first to make sure you enjoy our products. If you have a problem with your order please contact us and we will try to resolve it.
What is your current product turn around time?

Are your eye shadows lip-safe?
Originally they were designed to be. Now they are designed to be used in the eye area and on the face, not on lips.
Are your products vegan?
No, we use carmine, an insect based dye in some of our products. We also use beeswax in our primer. Colors that contain carmine are located in that category.
Why does the eyeshadow I purchased look different from the photo?
We try our best to photograph and describe the colors as accurately as possible, but mistakes will happen. Also different computer monitors display colors differently.
We make our products in small batches so there will be some shade differences.
Do you give discounts/wholesale prices to bloggers or professional MUAs?
No, all of Detrivores customers are important, so no one gets the VIP treatment. Sorry!
Do you give out free items? Will you support my blog, YT channel, contest, ect?
We currently are not giving out any promo items. Sorry.
What do your product names mean?
All of our products have names which are references to literature, films, or music. Some of the names are references to marine biology or entomology. Some of the names have personal meaning.
